A man who shot dead five people at a newspaper office in the US state of Maryland has been sentenced to five life terms without parole.

Jarrod Ramos' sentence was announced on September 28 after a jury previously found him guilty of killing five people in the office of the Capital Gazette in 2018.
The attack is considered one of the largest in the media in US history.
Kifm was also sentenced to five life terms for the murder of Ramos and sentenced to one life sentence for attempted murder - a total of more than 345 years.
Ramos pleaded guilty in October 2019 to 23 counts. He argued that he should not be prosecuted for mental disorders, but the jury rejected the allegations of insanity.
