Romi Schneider: when successes and tragedies go hand in hand all your life
Romi Schneider's first big love was the mega-popular French actor Alain Delon, with whom she starred in the 1958 film Christina.
The couple was together for several years, but then in the mid-60's there was a severe breakup, which almost led the actress to suicide. However, she survived.
And in the 70's Romi Schneider played her best roles and became one of the most successful European actresses of the time. Sometimes, almost 5 films were released in a year.

For her roles in the films "The main thing - to love" in 1975 and "Simple History" in 1978, Romy Schneider received the "Cesar" award for best female role.

And then everything suddenly stopped. Schneider's second husband, whom she had previously divorced, committed suicide in the late 1970s. And in 1981, the actress's 14-year-old son David died tragically - he just fell off the fence.
Romy Schneider died on May 29, 1982 in a deep depression, ironically, it was Alain Delon who was in charge of her burial - there was no one left with the actress.
